January 5, 7PM, Cambridgeside Galleria food court.
We’ll have to get some kind of flag to wave so people can find us. Maybe we’ll launch a flare every fifteen minutes?
Lots of room, different kinds of food, wifi. Let’s call this a Seattle-style geek dinner, because this is the style they do there.
Please RSVP in a comment below.
See you Thursday!

what kind of geek qualifications does one need?
Posted by Mark on January 3, 2006 at 10:08 pm
Looking forward to it
Posted by Dave Winer on January 3, 2006 at 10:39 pm
Jesse, it’s self-qualifying. If you feel geeky then you’re geeky.
Also, it would be great if you could point to a bio page, or say a bit about yourself when you RSVP.

When you construct a bio, does that qualify as bioengineering?
(Sadly, my trip to NH has been postponed a week. 😦 I don’t always agree with your opinions, but they make for interesting reading. 🙂 )

I will be there.
I don’t have a bio page (yet), but here is my OPML blog:

Lets all wear red shirts/sweaters and blue jeans, making us easy to spot! 🙂

Will most likely make it, as I just happen to be in Cambridge this month instead of down south Philly. More than you wanted to know about me at:

1st time “Geek Dinner” attendee, long-time wanna-be geek. Check-out my opml file for some basic bio info. Still a work in progress.

I will be there with a few other folks from work.
I’ve been a developer for about 10 years and currently work on an eCommerce site. I’ve also had a blog about absolutely nothing for 5 years.

I’m in.
I started with OPML when Winer/Curry were first looking for help with the ipodder.org directory (category “managers”). I’ve stayed with it and now run “my” categories (Business, Law, Finance) on iPodder.org with OPML Editor 10.1a2.
Look forward to meeting folks tonight.

I’m really bummed. I won’t be driving up today after all. Waaaahh!!! Anyone with a laptop, newsreader, and a heart can feel free to use this shared feed to make me feel like I’m still there. I’ll be on it at 7 p.m.

i’m at home, taking the year off from college. starting a blog and learning a programming language are two of my perennial new year’s resolutions — up there with getting in shape and doing my homework. meanwhile i scribble half baked ideas when i should be studying, and scan blogs when i should be getting some exercise. 😉

Jasperjed, corporate ‘ho by day, anti-corporate ‘ho by night, will be there.
