Essential Markdown?

Ollie Boermans points out that Markdown allows arbitrary HTML. #

Of course that is not what I’m suggesting. #

I want Markdown minus the feature that allows arbitrary HTML. #

Maybe call it Essential Markdown or somesuch. #
